Wolverines defeat Ferrum with 7-0 road win

FERRUM, Va. - Wesley Field Hockey improved to 2-0, after a 7-0 shutout on the road against Ferrum College. 

Kaila Hindt started the scoring in the first quarter for the Wolverines. Jessica Behornar carried into the circle and made a nice pass to Hindt. After some fancy stick work, the ball was in the back of the net and Wesley held a 1-0 lead into quarter number 2. 

The second quarter saw more domination by the Wolverines as Leah Jones scored her first collegiate goal and Jessica Behornar (assisted by Hindt) found the net. 

After halftime, Madi Cook scored 2 goals, Hindt found the net for her second goal and Madison Terzaghi scored her first collegiate goal. 

Lauren Berry registered the win in goal, as all 4 goalies (Berry, Sidney Knott, Bridget Wood and Katelynn Porter) played a quarter each. 

Wesley outshot the Panthers 31-0 (16-0 on goal) and held a 17-2 advantage on penalty corners. 

The Wolverines are back in action Sunday, September 8th, as they continue their road trip against Roanoke College, game time 12:00.
